My Art Studio Setup

January 13, 20261 min read

If you’ve ever wondered what my art studio looks like behind the scenes, here’s a quick, 2-minute tour.

This studio didn’t happen overnight. Over the years, my workspace has lived in a spare bedroom, then moved through a few “almost there” studio spaces around the house—each one a step closer to what I’d always pictured.

My current studio is the result of a lot of trial, adjustment, and learning what actually supports my painting process, including a lot of natural light.

In the video below, I walk you through my setup—my easels, palette, lighting, storage, and the tools I use every day in the studio. If you’re working in a small space now, I hope this shows you what’s possible over time. And maybe gives you a few ideas you can adapt right where you are.

If you've got questions about art supplies or my studio setup, be sure to leave those below the video.

And if you’d like a closer look at the art supplies I use, be sure to download Art Essentials: Your Guide to Must-Have Painting Supplies. It’s a free 15-page PDF that covers the basics and shares some practical painting tips along the way.
